Brownsburg 5-Year Report highlights growth, total investments nearly $1B

Town Manager Deb Cook presented the Town of Brownsburg’s 5-Year Report during the Town Council meeting on Thursday evening, outlining a transformative period of progress and development since 2020. The report showcased Brownsburg’s continued momentum in growth, infrastructure, public safety, and community engagement, driven by nearly $1 billion in business investments since 2020.

“It is inspiring to recognize our community’s remarkable growth and development since 2020,” said Cook. “The past four years have been unprecedented, and our ability to adapt and reimagine Brownsburg has led to incredible outcomes.”

Key Highlights from 2020–2025

  • Economic Development: The groundbreaking of the Ronald Reagan Logistics Center spurred substantial growth along the corridor, serving as a catalyst for commercial investment.
  • Parks: Over 13 acres of new parkland have been developed, including Virgil Park, Stephens Park, and Cardinal Park. More than 5 miles of new trails, such as the White Lick Creek Greenway, have enhanced accessibility and connectivity.
  • Infrastructure Planning: Brownsburg adopted updated Water, Stormwater, and Wastewater Master Plans and revised its Unified Development Ordinance to guide sustainable development.
  • Grant Funding: Brownsburg secured a record-setting $13.8 million in grants since 2020, the highest in the Town’s history, supporting infrastructure and public service projects.
  • Public Safety: Brownsburg has consistently ranked among the Safest Places to Live in Indiana, thanks to the dedication of the Brownsburg Police Department. In 2024, the Brownsburg Fire Territory earned ISO Class 1 reaccreditation, placing it in the top 1% of departments statewide and the top 2% nationwide.
  • Environmental Stewardship: The Town remains committed to environmental responsibility, maintaining its Tree City USA designation for over a decade. Efforts to preserve green space and reduce the community’s carbon footprint are central to Brownsburg’s planning and investment strategies.
