To support local businesses and the vibrant community they create, The Town of Brownsburg has officially proclaimed Saturday, November 30, 2024, as Small Business Saturday. This annual event encourages residents to shop local and support small businesses that are the heart and soul of our community.
Small Business Saturday, launched by American Express in 2010, encourages consumers to support independent retailers and local establishments during the holiday shopping season. This year marks the tenth anniversary of the Town of Brownsburg’s participation in this initiative, joining cities nationwide to promote the importance of shopping locally. This event aims to boost our local economy, foster community spirit, and celebrate the unique contributions that small businesses provide.
“We encourage everyone to shop local,” said Town Council President Travis Tschaenn. “Shopping in Brownsburg keeps dollars within the community, which helps local businesses flourish.”
To celebrate Small Business Saturday, many Brownsburg businesses are hosting various events, including open houses, local markets, and special promotions. Residents can plan their shopping experience at https://discoverbrownsburg.org/discover/shop-local/ to explore over 100 local Brownsburg businesses on the map, from shopping to sweet treats, things to do, and more!
“Shop local this holiday season to support your community, discover unique gifts, and make a difference where it matters most!” said Greater Brownsburg Chamber of Commerce Director Emily Mecija.
Join us in supporting our local businesses on Saturday, November 30, and throughout the holiday season. Together, we can ensure our community thrives and keep our local spirit alive.
