Brownsburg will commemorate the United States’ 250th anniversary with a series of patriotic events throughout the year, bringing residents together to celebrate the nation’s history and hometown pride.
The “America 250 in Brownsburg” celebration will include a Fourth of July parade, live entertainment, and fireworks, along with additional events honoring the milestone anniversary.

America 250 Proclamation
Thursday, June 25 at 7 p.m. at Brownsburg Town Hall Council Room
Join us for a special proclamation reading to recognize America’s 250 anniversary of becoming a country! The reading will highlight the significance of this historic milestone.

Hey kids! America’s 250th anniversary is this Saturday, and whether you call it our Semiquincentennial or our Bisesquicentennial or even our Sestercentennial (I mean, gee whiz…they’re all a mouthful), it’s a great occasion to celebrate this wonderful country of ours! Join us for some patriotic, red-white-and-blue, USA! USA! USA! fun. This program is for school-age kids in grades K-5 (ages 6-11). Registration is required. July 4 in Brownsburg
Celebrate America’s 250th birthday in Brownsburg! The Brownsburg Lions Club kicks off the celebration on June 29 with a carnival at Arbuckle Acres Park! Enjoy rides, games, and great food! The carnival is open 6 PM-11 PM through July 4.
On July 4 at 10 AM, line the streets for Brownsburg’s annual July 4 parade hosted by the Brownsburg Lions Club, one of the longest parades in Indiana. The parade route will be posted online on the Brownsburg Lions Club website.
Enjoy live music on July 4 beginning at 7:30 PM on Town Hall Green, featuring Cool City Band! At 10 PM, fireworks will light the night sky.

Walk through time at Virgil Park! Celebrate America’s 250th anniversary with a guided hike exploring the history, design, and future of this unique landscape.

Brownsburg Farmers Market: Hometown Heroes
Thursday, August 20, from 4 to 7 p.m. at Town Hall Green
The Brownsburg Farmers Market Hometown Heroes Night will celebrate local service members, veterans, and community leaders. The themed market will feature local vendors and patriotic activities as well as American history.

Brownsburg Field of Honor
October 29-November 11 at Town Hall Green
The Brownsburg Field of Honor will return for its second year with a special America 250 theme, featuring 500 American flags displayed in tribute.
This year’s installation will also include 26 historical flags representing different eras of the nation’s history, accompanied by interpretive signage sharing historical facts and context. The Field of Honor offers a powerful and educational experience for visitors of all ages. Residents have the opportunity to sponsor or dedicate a flag in honor of a loved one, service member, or local hero. Flag dedications for the Field of Honor will open on June 23 online.
