Animal Experiences

Montrose Farms Alpaca Ranch 3750 N 950 E – An alpaca farm on land that dates back to the early 1800’s and educates visitors on humane animal practices and eco-friendly sustainable living and making sure the animals always come first.

Natural Valley Ranch 6310 E County Rd 350 N – A 78-acre ranch for horse riding, riding lessons, trails and camps. For children ages 6 and older, Natural Valley Ranch features a Spring Break Mini-Camp March 18- 20, March 25–27 and April 1–3. Also available to host birthday parties and features a full-service equine facility.

Oinking Acres Sanctuary 8420 N County Rd 650 E – An animal sanctuary with the goal of providing an education to farm animal rescue as well as providing adoptable homes for rescues. Information on touring the sanctuary and special events can be found on their website and social media.

Arcades

Looking for an arcade or gaming atmosphere where you can hang out and play some games. Check out the arcades inside of Press Play Gaming Lounge, Pinheads and Kids Planet.

Press Play Gaming Lounge 1004 E Main St – Featuring everything from video games, pop-a-shot basketball, NERF Wars, Virtual Reality arenas, pool and more.  Prices vary and unlimited play passes are available. 

Art

Want to get creative during spring break? Check out these local art studios that will be offering special themed events, camps and classes during spring break.

Brownsburg Board and Brush 434 E Main St – Board and Brush is a creative studio that offers DIY wood sign and wood project workshops. During Spring Break, they will be offering a Spring Break Kids DIY Workshop and a Family Friendly Make and Take Workshop.

Brightly Art Studio 22 E Main St – Featuring clubs, classes and camps for all ages to explore their creative side and expand their imaginations through art.  Help bring out the creative side in everyone as well as use art as a form of therapy and education.

Children’s Art Classes 578 W. Northfield Dr. Ste 1070 – Studio-based art programs for ages 3 and up.  Helps kids discover their creative side while also helping them improve at school both educationally and socially. There are trial classes and workshops available as well as monthly tuition classes.

Bowling

Pinheads Entertainment 18 Whittington Dr– One of the newest additions in Brownsburg. This renovataed bowling alley features plenty of lanes for bowling, duck pin bowling, a state-of-the-art arcade, and a full-service restaurant, Alley’s Alehouse. On Thursdays, the arcade offers half-price games all day.

Indoor Playgrounds

Spring weather is unpredictable. There is always the random day in April where it snows and there is that saying, “April showers bring May flowers.” So, if the weather isn’t cooperating to go to an outdoor park check out these indoor playgrounds.

The Hideout 554 Pit Rd – The Hideout offers a free indoor playground for the public to use. Everyone is welcome to play in this space. The hours are typically Monday-Wednesday from 9 am to 1 pm. Days and times are subject to change based on staff availability and if there is a private booking.

Slick City Action Park 4430 N County Road 1000 East Suite 100 – Step into a world of pure exhilaration at Slick City Action Park, a must-visit destination! Race down towering slides that twist and turn—no water needed. Little adventurers have their own special space, while thrill-seekers can challenge friends on the air court.

Gaming

Check out these local businesses where you can socialize and play games.

Books & Brews 1551 N. Green Street, Suite I – Books and Brews is an establishment where you can hang out play some games, read a book, eat and converse, it’s not your average restaurant or bookstore, hosting different events including a PokĂ©mon league, a Magic: The Gathering Commander Night, Trivia Nights and live music. This restaurant is kid friendly and kids eat free on Sundays and Wednesdays.   

Bulldog Community Gaming 1060 E Main St – A hobby and gaming store featuring everything from PokĂ©mon, Magic: The Gathering, Yu-Gi-Oh, Digimon and more.  They also run local video game and card game tournaments and promote a social atmosphere.

Valkyrie’s Vault 1040 E Main St – A gaming store and hangout featuring board games, trading cards, role-playing games, collectibles and accessories.  Check their calendar for events like PokĂ©mon Club, Dungeons & Dragons and others!

Golf

Divot Golf Factory 60 E Northfield Dr –Inside Divot Golf Factory you will find 3 upscale golf simulators that features plenty of opportunities to practice and play featuring the latest in golf technology.  For spring break take advantage of their Family Scramble, and the family team that leads will get a gift card.  

Library

Brownsburg Public Library 450 South Jefferson Street – The Brownsburg Public Library is a great community resource that offers plenty of opportunities for fun during spring break.  Grab a free puzzle from their puzzle exchange to work on or check out a family movie from their movie collection for a fun family night.  The Brownsburg Library also has Indiana State Museum, Eiteljorg Museum of American Indians and Western Art, Indiana Historical Society, Kurt Vonnegut Museum and Library and Eagle Creek Park passes that can be checked out. These passes can be checked out for a week at a time and due to popularity of the passes, availability may be limited but you can put your name on the waitlist.  

The Brownsburg Public Library also has some great programs going on during Spring break including their weekly activities of book babies, toddler time, teddy bears and preschool story times. Check their event schedule for details and registration.

See a Movie

GQT Brownsburg 8 1555 N Green St – Grab the popcorn and head out to the movies for the latest theatrical releases! From Disney’s live-action adaptation of Snow White (March 21) or A Minecraft Movie (April 4) to sensory showings of some of the latest kid movies, there’s something for everyone. Enjoy special discounts on Tuesdays movies are $6 and Wednesdays if you have the golden popcorn bucket, popcorn fills are free!

Playgrounds

Arbuckle Acres Park 200 N Green St – The oldest park in Brownsburg is 52-acres of trails, baseball/softball fields, tennis and pickleball courts, playgrounds for all ages and a chance to just enjoy the outdoors.  The Storywalk trail is a great opportunity to get some exercise with the littles while also following along with rotating children’s stories.

Northwest Community Park 7950 N County Rd 650 E – Featuring a fully-fenced in playground, this location is a safe and fun place to bring the kids on a beautiful spring day.  The playground features multiple slides, climbing net, swings and a bird lookout tower. There is even a public fishing pond to fish at.

Stephens Park 610 Stephen Dr – The 3.2-acre park features a universal playground, six pickleball courts, exercise equipment and a trail that goes around the entire park.  The rubber mat surface ensures safe play and the sensory wall encourages kids with all needs to enjoy what it has to offer. There is a covered shelter area and bathroom facilities.

Virgil Park 9145 E County Road 300 N – Having just opened in May 2024, this new park is a trailhead for the B&O Trail.  Virgil Park also features a natural play area, exercise area, boardwalk and picnic shelter it’s a perfect place to spend a spring afternoon.

Williams Park 940 Locust Ln – 77 acres of fun and nature is what you’ll find here.  Blast Off Playground is an expansive playland for all ages. Also features multiple basketball courts, trails and picnic areas.

Trails

B&O Trail – The B&O Trail is one of the most popular trails in Brownsburg. With parking at a trailhead at 3480 N. Green St., Cardinal Park, and Virgil Park, the trail sees thousands of visitors annually. The B&O Trail is an 8.2-mile long paved multi-use trail through Hendricks County. When completed this fall, the trail will stretch all the way into downtown Indianapolis. Features must-see tunnels under CR 300 N. and Ronald Reagan Parkway with murals from local artists.

Brownsburg Racing Memorial Trail – This trail honors significant figures in Indiana’s racing history, each commemorated with a marker. Features historical figures like Robbie Stanley, Dick Jordan, Howdy Bell, Bill Marvel and Larry Rice and their impact to the sport.
