Williams Park is Brownsburg’s largest park, with 77 acres to explore. Looking for a way to unplug this summer? It’s the perfect place to spend an entire day outdoors. Here’s how to make the most of it!

Take advantage of cool summer mornings by starting at one of Williams Park’s playgrounds! Blast Off Playground is Brownsburg’s iconic wooden playground, originally built in 2000. Next, take a stroll through one of Williams Park’s pollinator gardens! There is a pollinator garden by the north entrance of the park that connects to the paved trail around the perimeter of the park. Bees, butterflies, and hummingbirds are all the most active during the mid-afternoon, so stopping by right before lunch is the perfect time to spot these little helpers.

Be sure to pack a picnic lunch to enjoy at one of the park shelters! There are seven shelters at Williams Park to choose from, making it easy to find a shady spot no matter how busy the park gets.
Pro tip: For long park days, hydration is key! Check out the water bottle filling station, located by the bathrooms next to the splash pad, to keep your mind sharp and body fueled.

A quick walk always helps aid in digestion, so head over to the Maple Ridge Trail, a 0.79-mile crushed stone nature trail that leads to the Outdoor Classroom! Here, you will find two pollinator gardens, a raised herb garden, the Play & Learn College, and a handmade natural stage – perfect for hands-on learning and imaginative play.

Head back over to the main park to beat the heat of the afternoon at the splash pad! The splash pad spans over 3,100 square feet and provides various interactive spray and play features, like a thrilling 21-foot-tall tipping bucket that pours 40 gallons of water every 5-6 minutes. The zero-depth splash pad offers a variety of water sensations across three distinct play areas, so there’s something for everyone to enjoy!
