Brownsburg is celebrating 10 years as a Tree City USA community, and you can be part of what keeps our town green and thriving. Our annual Fall Tree Sale, in partnership with the Arbor Day Foundation, is the perfect chance to add a beautiful, locally grown native tree to your yard.
Online ordering is open September 2–30. Delivery is available for 46112 residents from October 8–10. Orders outside 46112 can be picked up beginning October 8 at the Parks Administrative Office (402 E. Main St.), Monday–Friday, 9 a.m.–4 p.m.
This year’s sale features six native species, all grown locally from seed in Hendricks County and sold in 3-gallon nursery pots:
Black Gum
Red Bud
Tulip
Bald Cypress
Swamp White Oak
Why plant in the fall?
Native trees planted in autumn enjoy an extra growing season before summer’s heat, and they handle winter naturally by going dormant — like plant hibernation. Once established, they thrive without extra fertilizer, pesticides, or watering, making them both low-maintenance and environmentally friendly.
Native trees also strengthen soil, improve air quality, and provide essential food and habitat for pollinators, birds, and other wildlife. Every tree you plant supports the health of our community and keeps Brownsburg’s 10-year Tree City USA legacy growing strong.
