Flag dedications for the second annual Brownsburg Field of Honor are now open. Community members can dedicate flags to veterans and active-duty military, honoring their service and sacrifice.
“This is a great way to pay tribute to veterans,” said Town Council President Ben Lacey. “Every flag represents someone special and their meaningful story.”

The Brownsburg Field of Honor will display 500 American flags on the Town Hall Green, 250 more than last year, and will feature 26 historic flag designs for America’s 250th anniversary. The display runs from Thursday, October 29, through Wednesday, November 11.
Each flag will be lit at night thanks to presenting illumination partner, Sandy Beach Lighting & Design Co. A flag lighting ceremony will be held on Thursday, October 29 at 7 p.m.
“We’re honored to partner with the Town of Brownsburg on such a meaningful tribute,” said Andy and Michelle Schwindler, Founders of Sandy Beach Lighting & Design Co. “Our goal is to respectfully illuminate each flag in a way that not only honors the individuals represented, but also creates a unified nighttime experience for the entire community.”
A Veterans Day Ceremony will be held on Saturday, November 7, 2026, at 10 a.m.
Proceeds support the Brownsburg American Legion Post 331 scholarship fund for college-bound children of veterans.

A $50 dedication includes a personalized tag, program guide recognition, the honoree’s name on field signage, a certificate, and the flag to keep.
“This field is a powerful way for our community to honor and remember the sacrifices of our heroes,” said Town Manager Deb Cook.
