Brownsburg’s Infrastructure Enhancements: A Recap of 2024 Projects

The Town of Brownsburg has completed several projects that have enhanced the Town’s infrastructure this year. The following recap outlines 2024 completed projects and works in process.

CR 700 Sewer and Road Improvements

This project improved the sewer and road system along E. CR 700 N., from N. Green St. to just east of the CSX railroad crossing. The project involved the installation of a sewer interceptor to increase the capacity of sanitary sewage collection and treatment. Moreover, the road underwent reconstruction in partnership with INDOT, which included widening the road, adding a path, and replacing the culvert. Additionally, CSX carried out railroad crossing safety improvements.

CR 400 Road Improvements

E. CR 400 N., between Ronald Reagan Parkway and an approximately 1500 ft. west of Ronald Reagan Parkway, was completely reconstructed this year. The project included replacing the current box culvert under CR 400 N. Additionally, the project added a dedicated right turn lane towards the southbound on Ronald Reagan Parkway at CR 400 N.

Main St. and College Ave. Utility Updates

This project, currently in progress, is replacing utility lines along E. Main St., from N. Grant St. to Seumin St., some of the oldest utility lines in Town. In addition, new water mains are being installed along College Ave., from Green St. to S. Jefferson St. and separate storm and sewer lines along College Ave.

Road Resurfacing

Brownsburg was awarded $507,214 in matching grant funds for the spring cycle from INDOT for road resurfacing of 21 local roads this fall. The resurfacing project is ongoing.
