What to Expect at Brownsburg’s Christmas Under the Stars Event

It’s the most wonderful time of the year! The holiday season is finally upon us, and Brownsburg is rolling out the festive cheer with its much-anticipated Christmas Under the Stars event on Saturday, December 7. If you’re looking to celebrate the magic of Christmas with family and friends, this annual gathering is packed with fun and excitement. Here’s what you can expect!

Winter Market presented by Centier Bank

The festivities begin at 4 p.m. with a delightful Winter Market presented by Centier Bank, located at Town Hall Green (61 N. Green St.). This charming market will feature over 20 vendors offering a fantastic range of goodies. From delicious baked goods and festive decorations to unique gifts and beautiful jewelry, there’s something for everyone. Children can even enjoy face painting during the market!

In addition to the market, Girl Scout Troop 2356 will be selling s’mores kits. Small bonfires will be available for roasting marshmallows! Enjoy delicious food from local vendors, including Signature Catering, which will serve grilled sausage and casseroles, and Smash Daddy Burgers. Warm up with coffee or hot chocolate from Travelin’ Toms Coffee Truck, or savor spiked cider from Books & Brews!

Santa’s Workshop Hosted by Brownsburg Public Library

One of the highlights for the little ones is Santa’s Workshop in Eaton Hall (61 N. Green St.). Hosted by the Brownsburg Public Library, kids can unleash their creativity by making holiday-themed crafts.

Lighted Parade

As the sun sets, the excitement continues with an illuminated parade starting at 6 p.m. on Green Street at Harris Academy. The parade will light up the streets as it travels north on Green Street and concludes at Enderly Avenue. Jr. Grand Marshal Luke Loviseck, riding in the Brownsburg Fire Territory firetruck, leads the parade, which features over 25 floats and will wrap up with a special appearance by Santa Claus!

Public parking is available at Brownsburg Town Hall, the Arbuckle Apartments parking garage, Arbuckle Commons, within Arbuckle Acres Park, and Stephens Park. Street parking is also allowed on side streets, not on Green St. Parking will be unavailable at Harris Academy, Messiah Lutheran Church, or the front of Brownsburg Town Hall.

Tree Lighting and Photos with Santa

Once the parade wraps up, return to Town Hall Green at 7:15 p.m. for the highly anticipated tree lighting ceremony. The Jr. Grand Marshal will light the Town’s Christmas tree. After the lighting, families can enjoy Town Hall’s lights, synchronized to music and enjoy many photo opportunities with lighted characters throughout the green space.

Families can enjoy free, self-taken photos with Santa in Town Hall’s lobby by entering through Eaton Hall. The Winter Market and Santa’s Workshop will continue until 8 p.m.

Sensory Room for Relaxation

During Christmas Under the Stars, an indoor sensory room will be available for visitors to self-regulate and relax away from stimulation. Located inside the Town Council Room, this sensory room features coloring sheets, sensory toys, comfortable seating, headphones, and soft music to provide a calming environment during the event.
