Spooky Season is Coming to Brownsburg!

Get ready for a spooktacular October in Brownsburg! From monster-themed crafts and nighttime hikes to trailside treats, a family movie, and trick-or-treating, there are plenty of ways to celebrate Halloween with family and friends.

Design n’ Dash: Monster Mash

Get creative and celebrate Halloween at Design n’ Dash: Monster Mash! This free family-friendly program invites participants to create their very own silly, spooky monster! Paint or color popsicle sticks, then bring your creature to life with googly eyes, fuzzy accents, and all the fun, spooky details you can imagine. No two monsters will be the same. Let your creativity run wild!

Sounds of the Night Hike

When the sun goes down, the park comes alive! Join us for our free annual Sounds of the Night Hike, where you’ll explore the trails after dark and discover the sights and sounds of the nighttime outdoors.

Keep your ears open. You never know what you might hear in the woods!

Trail & Treat

Movies in the Park: The Addams Family

Grab your blankets, lawn chairs, and favorite movie snacks for a spooky night under the stars! Our Movies in the Park features The Addams Family (2019), the animated comedy featuring everyone’s favorite delightfully strange family.

Come dressed in costume, bring the whole family, and enjoy a free movie in the park!

Movie Begins: 7 PM
Location: Arbuckle Acres Park

Admission is free. No registration required.

Trick-or-Treat on Halloween

Halloween falls on a Saturday this year, giving Brownsburg families plenty of time to get into the spooky spirit! Brownsburg’s recommended trick-or-treating time is 5–9 p.m. on Saturday, October 31.

Trick-or-Treating Tips

  • Carry a flashlight or glow stick to help stay visible after dark.
  • Stick to sidewalks and cross at designated crossings whenever possible.
  • Look both ways before crossing the street.
  • Young children should be accompanied by an adult.
  • Drivers should slow down and watch carefully for pedestrians.
