Planting native trees is beneficial for wildlife and other plants, as they support local populations of pollinators, provide habitats for animals, and can help control invasive plant species.
Native trees also require less maintenance since they are suited for our local environment, meaning they require less water, fertilizer, and insecticides – so less work for you!
Sarah Pawlowski is a returning communications intern for the Town of Brownsburg. She is a recent graduate of Butler University with degrees in Political Science and Strategic Communication. Although not a Brownsburg native, she was introduced to the town through a soap felting class at Montrose Farms and fell in love with the lively main street and charming local businesses! After interning with the Town last summer, she is grateful to be back for another season. Sarah enjoys trying new coffee shops, thrifting, and spending time in the outdoors.
