Brownsburg residents can get an up-close look at how the Town of Brownsburg operates through its annual Leadership Brownsburg Academy program. This free program offers an immersive experience into the workings of municipal operations.
Launched in 2022, Leadership Brownsburg Academy is designed for residents and business owners who aspire to contribute meaningfully to their community. The program encompasses eight sessions, each held monthly from February through September.
Participants delve into various facets of local government, including:
Public safety operations
Economic development
Infrastructure projects
Parks and recreation
Each session combines presentations with interactive experiences, such as facility tours and hands-on demonstrations.
“This was an excellent offering for us residents who want to learn more about the Town’s operations and processes,” said Amanda Pennington. “It’s a great pre-req for anyone considering a Board or Council position. I greatly appreciate the opportunity and investment in me!” Applications for the 2026 Leadership Brownsburg Academy program open in September. Applicants must be Brownsburg residents or business owners and available to attend at least six of the eight sessions.
