Grab your flannel and apple cider; autumn is just around the corner! Brownsburg hosts a variety of fun fall events that are sure to give you a Pinterest-worthy spooky season.

Free Fall Events

National Night Out

  • October 7, 5-7:30 PM at Arbuckle Acres Park

Plan to attend National Night Out, hosted by the Brownsburg Police Department and Brownsburg Fire Territory! Meet officers and firefighters while enjoying an evening of free entertainment, food, and fun! Over 90 local businesses and organizations participate in this event, along with K9 Demonstrations, and games.

Fall Market

Celebrate the season with us at our Fall Market in Arbuckle Acres Park! With 30 local vendors, 5 food trucks, live music by 90 Proof, and plenty of fall fun, it will be the perfect way to welcome the season!

Movies in the Park, Presented by Centier Bank

What better way to get in the spooky season spirit than with a Halloween movie? Enjoy an outdoor screening of Hotel Transylvania with free popcorn at Arbuckle Acres Park! Come at 6:30 PM for a Halloween costume; movie starts at 7 PM.

Morning Bird Hikes

Did you know Indiana is a prime migratory zone as birds head south for the winter? Join our park naturalist on an early morning hike to see what birds are flying by during the fall! Limited quantity of binoculars available for use during program thanks to the Parks Foundation of Hendricks County.

Sense the Night Hike

Step into the magic of the night with our Sense the Night Hike, an unforgettable evening adventure where the lights stay off and your senses switch on. You’ll experience nature in a whole new way: the cool night air, rustle of leaves, and smell of fresh earth around you.

Trail & Treat, Presented by Centier Bank

Who doesn’t love trick-or-treating? Join us for Trail and Treat, where local businesses and organizations line the paved trail at Williams Park for a safe and enjoyable trick-or-treating experience!

Fall Colors Hike

Immerse yourself in the vibrant beauty of autumn with the Fall Colors Hike. You’ll have a chance to explore the stunning foliage of Williams Park while learning about the magic behind the changing leaves.

Field of Honor

  • Field of Honor Veterans Day Ceremony on November 8 at 10 a.m.

The Brownsburg Field of Honor will feature a display 250 United States flags. This tribute honors the bravery and sacrifice of our nation’s veterans. Each flag represents an individual veteran and tells a unique story. Flags can be dedicated to honor individuals within our community. Proceeds from the Field of Honor program will benefit the Indiana National Guard Relief Fund, which provides essential financial assistance to Indiana service members and their families.

Family Fun

Mother and Son Bonfire Night

Gather around the fire for a memorable night at Arbuckle Acres Park! With crafts, mini putt, s’mores, a night hike, a bat presentation, and more, this is sure to be a highlight of your autumn. The Mother and Son Bonfire Night is $25 per person and registration must be purchased in advance.

Fall Hayrides

Experience the beauty of fall with a fall hayride! Enjoy exclusive use of a designated shelter rental, two private hayrides, and a cozy bonfire. Perfect for group rentals, the Fall Hayrides are $146 for Brownsburg residents or $173 for non-Brownsburg residents.

Little Sprouts Nature Discovery

Little Sprouts is a nature-based discovery program designed for preschool ages 2-5. Your little learned will have the opportunity to explore nature through hands-on activities, enjoy story time and music, and create crafts. Registration is $10. An adult must accompany children; this is not a drop-off program.

Fall Break Camp

At Brownsburg’s Fall Break Camp, every day brings a spooky twist! Activities include pie making, petting zoos, dress-up days, candy corn tower contests, and more! Open for ages 6-12. Registration is $245 for the week.

Sporties for Shorties

Sporties for Shorties is a fun an engaging introduction to sports is designed to teach young children (ages 4-6) the fundamentals of throwing, catching, dribbling, and more! This 4-day program will give kids hands-on experience with t-ball, basketball, and soccer. Registration is $35 per person.

Weed Wrangle® is part of a national effort to remove invasive plants from our parks! Interested volunteers must be comfortable using power tools and chemicals such as herbicides. Volunteers are encouraged to bring work gloves, but all other safety gear will be provided by Brownsburg Parks.

Fall CITO Event

We are calling all geocachers to come join us along the trail to help clean it up during our CITO (Cache In, Trash Out) event. The event helps the Town of Brownsburg and Hendricks County meet their public participation requirements, while helping geocachers and our communities by keeping this wonderful trail connecting geocaches in pristine condition!

Treesgiving

  • Sarah Pawlowski is the summer 2025 communications intern for the Town of Brownsburg. She is a senior at Butler University double majoring in Political Science and Strategic Communication with a minor in Race, Gender, and Sexuality Studies.
