Brownsburg Celebrates Small Business Saturday 2025

The Town of Brownsburg is proud to support the entrepreneurs, storefronts, and makers who help our community thrive. To celebrate their impact, the Brownsburg Town Council proclaimed Saturday, November 29, 2025, as Small Business Saturday.

During its meeting on Thursday, November 20, the Council issued a formal proclamation encouraging residents to shop local and show their support for the small businesses that drive Brownsburg’s economy and strengthen our sense of community.

Small Business Saturday, launched by American Express in 2010, encourages consumers to support independent retailers and local establishments during the holiday shopping season. This year marks the 11th year of Brownsburg’s participation, joining communities nationwide in highlighting the importance of shopping locally. The initiative not only boosts the local economy but also fosters community pride and celebrates the unique contributions small businesses bring to Brownsburg.

Full text of the proclamation is available below:

Whereas, the Town of Brownsburg celebrates our local small businesses and the contributions they make to our local economy and community; and

Whereas, according to the United States Small Business Administration, there are 534,640 small businesses in Indiana, representing 99.4% of all Indiana businesses and employment for approximately 1.2 million individuals; and

Whereas, small businesses are a vital part of the Brownsburg community; and

Whereas, every shopping dollar spent in Brownsburg helps our community remain strong and thrive; and

Whereas, shopping in Brownsburg also helps keep sales tax dollars within the community, helps local businesses flourish, provides employment opportunities, and helps provide tax revenue that supports emergency services, infrastructure maintenance, and other services.

Now, therefore, I, Travis Tschaenn, Town Council President of the Town of Brownsburg, do hereby proclaim Saturday, November 29, 2025 as:

SMALL BUSINESS SATURDAY

in the Town of Brownsburg, and urge the residents of our community, to support
small businesses and merchants on Small Business Saturday and throughout the
year.

To celebrate Small Business Saturday, many Brownsburg businesses are hosting various events, including open houses, local markets, and special promotions.
